Desert Shoot

Recently my wife and I took a road trip down to Phoenix, AZ and I had the chance to get some really nice desert shots.

This little yellow flower was my best shot in my opinion. It just so happened that this little guy managed to grow so beautifully amongst some really dark boulders (which made a perfect background).

I shot this iron symbol outside the apartment of our good friends Darren and Kara. It looked so interesting against the brilliant blue sky that I just couldn't pass up framing it just right and capturing it forever.

As funny as it may seem, I took this photo outside of In and Out Burger.

You can't visit Arizona as a photographer and return home without a picture of a cactus.

On our way home we stopped a few times so that I could shoot some of the beautiful scenes off of Highway 89.

This formation was just off the road outside of Lake Powell.
This is the same formation but the vantage point was right up against it
looking straight up at the sky.

A water tower just south of Kanab, UT.

Old Glory shot from a Chevron where we gassed up in Kanab.

There are some really cool swimming holes just north of Kanab, unfortunately we drove through at the wrong time of day and the light was horrible, but at least I got a few interesting shots.

This guy is located at the same water hole.

We were excited to see the update and love the new desert pics! My favorites are the pictures of the rock formation ouside of Powell. Jayna's favorite is the yellow flower. Thanks again for taking our family pictures while you were here - they turned out great! They are the first family pictures we've taken since Emmalyn was born that have turned out really well. We look forward to future updates.
