Baird Portraits

Back in November I did a shoot for the Bairds'. We went out to the Saltair area. I love shooting out there because there are a lot of great backgrounds so close together.

Easton, Melanie, & Michael

Michael tossing Easton, pretty dang high if you ask me.

Good looking family, here they are on the steps of a burnt out train car.

In front of the Great Salt Lake, I love the vastness out west.

This one is right in front of Black Rock. Shooting from a higher vantage point always makes for a different but interesting picture.

The train tracks in the shots above and below are just east of Black Rock.

James Family Portraits

A few months ago I had the chance to take some portraits for the James Family. We decided to take them at Exchange Place is Salt Lake City which was awesome! I thought they turned out great! Below are a few of my favorites.

The Heber Creeper

Last month Ash, Dominic and I went along with my sister and her family to take a little ride on the Heber Creeper. The train ride was actually pretty lackluster, but I was able to take some pretty cool pictures. Here are a couple of my favorites.

I love to taking pictures of signs. A few months ago when I was doing a shoot out by the Great Salt Lake and I came across this sign pointing to the beach.

Oliver and Phoebe

A few months ago I was able to take some new portraits of my nephew and niece. It was quite fun!
It was an adventure to take this picture of Oliver! He is full of energy so its always a challenge to get a decent shot of him. As you can see below, my newest niece Phoebe is much easier to work with. All we had to do for her was prop her up in a chair. She had to rely a lot on the arm to keep her head up though. Such a beautiful girl!

Randall Portraits

A few months ago I did a shoot for my friends Lauren and Zach at Temple Square. Their daughter Ella is so cute! It is always a challenge to get kids to cooperate. When we started taking pictures Ella was a little shy but with a little time and patience, she finally started to warm up to the camera.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Last week my Dad and I attended a Bees Baseball game with Jared (my best friend since grade school) and his Dad. We've kind of made it a tradition to go to these games so I wanted to take my camera and get a few shots.

"Section 103"
When we go to the games we always sit in section 103. Being that my Dad has ALS, we have to sit in a spot that has wheel chair access. Section 103 is in the upper deck on the 1st base line. It's a great place to sit! You always have a chance at a foul ball and it's in the shade of the setting sun.

"The Spectators"
I love this shot of my Dad and his friend Roger. Every time we go they take in the sights and sounds of the game, and there's just something special about witnessing that.

"Peanuts"
At every game we start things off with a "dog and coke," and finish it off with a bag of peanuts that we all share.

"The Right Fielder"
At dusk, the sun rays finally peaked through the clouds and highlighted the majestic Wasatch Mountains. They made the perfect background for this wide angle picture for right field.

A Couple of My Favorite Subjects

We live about five minutes from the Bountiful Temple and it is one of my favorite subjects to shoot.

The Salt Lake Temple is about 30 minutes from our house and it too is a favorite subject of mine.
