A Night at Temple Square

It's been years since I've had the chance to see the lights at Temple Square, it was cold, but it it was incredible!

The Salt Lake Temple - I've been itching at the chance to shoot it and this one turned out nice.

The fountain between the Assembly Hall and the Tabernacle. I shot this one at f/11 with a shutter speed of about 1.5 seconds. I love the silky water look.

The nativity scene on Temple Square received a bountiful dusting of snow.

Some Festive Shots

Being that is it is the holiday season I thought I would post some pictures that were inspired by this magical time of year.

I took this shot of my parent's house at night, I wanted to capture the Christmas lights and the snow.

For the last few years the families who live in my parent's neighborhood have a Christmas party. They do soup, hot chocolate, and a Christmas fire all outside!

Our Christmas Tree

Our lights from a different vantage point.

Our neighbors made a snowman after the last storm. While I was out to shoot the house, I had to capture a shot of him with the lights in the background.

I've been meaning to post this one for a long time... this one is for you Ham

Ever since I snapped these shots in July I've been meaning to post them. Enjoy the wonders of Adam Hurst's travel back in time to "business in the front, party in the back."

The steps are a real nice touch!

"Humans enjoy festivities!" My associates (Jared and Ham) will undoubtedly support my notions in the studies of the of humans "doing" juxtoposed to humans "being."

Another Angle

My friend Matt from AZ taught me how to do another nuance with Photoshop so I tried it out on one of the shots I took of the NM Trumps. Fun stuff!

The New Mexico Trumps

My brother, Adam and his family were up here in UT for Thanksgiving and while they were here we took the opportunity to do some family shots for them. They are an adorable family and we had a lot of fun on this shoot!

The Newest DRT - Dominic Roland Trump

I am now the proud father of a handsome baby boy! Dominic Roland Trump was born on October 16, 2008 at 1:45 PM weighing 6 lbs 9 oz and measuring 19.5 inches!

Our first family pic.

Right now he is jaundice so we have strickt orders to keep in in his "billiblanket." Ash calls him our little glow worm and I call him our little space cadet.

Mom, baby, and Dad are all doing great!

The Sundance Experiance

Being that I was at Sundance taking portraits for my sister I couldn't pass up the chance to take some shots of the beautiful area. Below you'll see some of my favorites.

MacKay Family Portrait

Saturday I met my sister Sara and her family up at Sundance to take some portraits, I thought they turned out nice. How could they not? It was gorgeous up there!

Night Moon

This is another shot that I took while in AZ, I shot it in RAW and I couldn't process it until I got my editing software. I thought it turned out nice.

A Couple of Panoramas

While I was in AZ I took this panorama of our friend's (The Hedges) back yard. I recently got some photo editing software and I was finally able to stitch together an acceptable finished product. For this one I shot it in landscape, in the future I'm going to shoot in portrait.
Hedges' Backyard

I shot this one of my parent's backyard today! Now that I can piece them together I can't wait to start shooting panoramas more often!
