Desert Shoot
Recently my wife and I took a road trip down to Phoenix, AZ and I had the chance to get some really nice desert shots.
This little yellow flower was my best shot in my opinion. It just so happened that this little guy managed to grow so beautifully amongst some really dark boulders (which made a perfect background).
I shot this iron symbol outside the apartment of our good friends Darren and Kara. It looked so interesting against the brilliant blue sky that I just couldn't pass up framing it just right and capturing it forever.
You can't visit Arizona as a photographer and return home without a picture of a cactus.

A Portrait of my Parents
Below is a portrait of my parents that I took last Sunday. I have been grateful that my wife and I were able to move back home to be with them. My dad is battleing ALS and it has been priceless to have been able to spend so much valuable time with them.
Eventhough this picture did make past the final judge (my mom-women usually don't like how they look in pictures), it passed my test and that is why I have posted it. I love you mom and dad!
